  1. About the Program
    • SVKM’s NMIMS : As a Business School since the last 34 years, and as a University for the last 13 years, NMIMS is recognized among the leading Deemed to-be–University (Self-financed) in India. NMIMS comprises of 9 schools, 3 off campuses, 10,000 students, 130 Programmes and faculty strength of 469.
    • Mumbai/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Shirpur : The management programs under School of Business Management are offered at Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad campuses.
    • 1981 : We had management programs affiliated to University of Mumbai, later we were invited in 2003 to become a Deemed University by MHRD.
    • Any ranking of the school : Business Today ranked NMIMS 8th Best B-School in India among total 150 schools in India.
    • Name of the program : Under full-time management programs the University offers MBA, MBA – Human Resources, MBA – Pharmaceutical Management at Mumbai and PGDM Program at Bengaluru and Hyderabad Campus.   2. Admission Criteria
    • NMAT by GMAC™ score range : The cut-off is provided to students in shortlist communication for CD/PI.
    • Work Experience requirement, if any : There is no mandatory requirement for work experience as such. However, for all the full time programs, candidates having two and more years of post-qualification work experience will be preferred.
    • Interview Process : The shortlisted candidates will have to attend a personal interview process as a part of selection process. The candidates will be briefed by the Admission Chairperson about the proceedings before the process.
    • Case Discussion process : The shortlisted candidates will have to attend a Case discussion process as a part of the selection process. The candidates will be briefed by the Admission Chairperson about the proceedings before the process.
    • Any other requirement in the admissions process ? The candidates have to check the NMIMS website (www.nmims.edu) for updates and also duly check the eligibility criteria/s of the program/s applied. The selection process is different for different programs of NMIMS; MBA/PGDM, MBA – Human Resource and MBA – Pharmaceutical Management.
  3. What is the Application Process ?
    • How does one apply for the programme ? The candidate will have to visit the NMIMS website for application to the management programs. The candidates are requested to refer to the Admission Information Handout – 2017 for detailed instructions. However, the candidate will have to mandatorily register at nmat.org.in and verify his/her credentials at NMIMS website before proceeding with the application at NMIMS website (www.nmims.edu).
    • What is the Application fee ? The application / reapplication fees are Rs. 1,100/- for one program (MBA or PGDM) and Rs. 1,500/- for both programs (MBA and PGDM).
    • Where do I get a copy of the Application form ? The application process is online, the candidate will have to visit NMIMS website for application (www.nmims.edu).
    • When does the application process start ? The application process will tentatively start from first week of July 2016.
    • What is the last date to apply ? The last date of application and reapplication will be as per important dates mentioned in the Admission Information Handout – 2017 available on NMIMS website (www.nmims.edu).
  4. What is the Admission Process ?
    • What was the NMAT by GMAC™ score cut-off for accepted students for 2016 intake ? The cut-off is provided to students in shortlist communication for CD/PI.
    • What constitutes work experience ? Employment as trainee, articleship during CA/CS or in a non-supervisory position shall not be considered. The achievements on the job and value addition to the candidate during employment are assessed during the interview.
    • When should I expect an invitation for an interview ? The call letter for interviews / case discussion is released as per important dates mentioned in the Admission Information Handout - 2017.

  5. Fees & other expenses
    • What is the estimated cost for the entire program for a student ? The fees for first year for the MBA Program for 2016 Batch are INR 8.25 lacs, PGDM – INR 7.00 lacs and MBA – Pharmaceutical Management – INR 5.00 lacs. The fees for the 2017 Batch will be informed during the case discussion / personal interview process.
    • What is the cost of living for the duration of the programme ? We facilitate hostel accommodation which is provided based on availability / vacancy. The students can approach the Hostel Department after completing due admission formalities on selection. The Hostel details, fees and application form are available on NMIMS website (www.nmims.edu).
    • Are there other costs to be taken into consideration? If yes what ? Any other costs will be student specific (if any).
  6. What is the financial support option available to students ?
    • What are the options of availing a loan ? The candidates are requested to approach various Banks on their own accord.
    • What is the amount of loan that a student is eligible for and what are the documents required ? The candidates are requested to approach various Banks on their own accord for details on educational loan.
    • At what rate of interest is the loan available? What is the date from which loan repayment begins? What is the maximum period in which a loan is to be repaid ? The candidates are requested to approach various Banks for details on educational loan.

    • How many intakes in a year and when ? There is one intake in a year during June.
